The Law offices of Roland Mumford opened on December 15, 2007 as a solo practice when Roland Mumford received his law license and was sworn in by the Honorable Judge Kennedy the prior day. The first office opened in Hendersonville in a small office on Gallatin Road with nothing more than a sign, desk, computer, and telephone. The office was a small partition of the old and famous Freed Hardware Store which is the second oldest building in the city of Hendersonville. The nostalgia of this first office keeps Roland humble as he remembers the very first client who gave him the opportunity to represent them and promising to practice the same values to this day with new and existing clients. Roland's vision for the firm was developed in a brief business plan he drafted and executed immediately upon opening the doors to his office. Prior experience as a series 7 stock broker with a major wall street firm taught Roland that managing a law office was not merely the practice of law, but rather running a small business which included the time honored virtues of customer service and satisfaction. To do this day and in light of incredible growth, Roland continues handing out a minimum of three business cards per day to each person he meets in public as he did on the first day of opening his office. Areas of practice at the beginning included family law, personal injury, criminal law, and workers compensation. In less than 18 months, Roland's vision of becoming a full service firm became a reality as our areas of practice have expanded to include social security disability, bankruptcy, employment discrimination, and immigration. On March 14, 2009, Roland in a moment of nostalgia, closed his first office and opened a new, larger office at 165 Indian Lake Boulevard in Hendersonville which is a much contemporary office providing convenient parking. In less than five months, Roland's vision became even more of a reality with the addition of attorney Divyesh Gopal and paralegal Angela Patterson who have become integral assets in providing quality legal representation and client service. Our growth has expanded beyond Sumner County into middle Tennessee which lead to the opening of our second office in Nashville at 1720 West End Avenue which has a beautiful skyline view of downtown. We continue to appreciate the opportunity to represent you whether as a new or existing client and your referrals. Our firm operates efficiently with a new client case management and accounting software which enables much more efficient and productive practice of client matters. Each member of our staff can provide a matter billing record upon immediate request of any client. All case files are in digital format and a client can receive their file on a cd rom rather than bulky files. Many clients communicate with our staff via electronic mail as a matter of course so that they are kept apprise on the status of their case. In spite of this fortunate success, the values upon which our firm was created when Roland opened his first office have not changed; client service and satisfaction.
